PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an analyzing apparatus and its method, which reduce the degree of bandwidth spread in a GC peak, and can carry out a quantitative analysis of sample components with high sensitivity. SOLUTION: In the analyzing apparatus and its method, a sample is sampled by a sampling means and introduced together with carrier gas into a separating means, and respective sample components in the sample are separated by the separating means and introduced into an analyzing means in order to be quantified. In addition, a trap means is disposed between the separating means and the analyzing means. After the sample components separated by the separating means are trapped in a low temperature state, the trap means is heated, thereby delivering the trapped sample components to the analyzing means.
