PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a shield machine capable of constructing a tunnel with a sectional width-broadening section in response to an application by using the same single circular type shield machine, a method for constructing the tunnel and the tunnel. SOLUTION: An outbreak section 11 is installed on one side of the shield machine 1 in which a liner 17 made of steel is fixed to the inner peripheral surface 4 of a skin plate 5. The liner 17 is fixed on a segment ring 15 from the skin plate 5 again at a specified place, and the segment ring 19 for preparing width broadening and the segment ring 21 for the width broadening are secured in front of the segment ring 15 unified with the liner 17. The segment ring 21 is divided into two, and a double structure 24 is arranged at a boundary. In the double structure 24, the width of the segment ring 21 is broadened by moving an end 26a and an end 26b as sliding members along a guide member 25, and an interfilling piece 27 is inserted between the end 26a and the end 26b.
