PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a cover body for a connecting part of a railway rolling stock having an expansion and contraction function whereby expansion can be prevented with respect to pressure difference generated at high speed traveling, reduction of air resistance and aerodynamic noise can be achieved, and rolling stock displacement on a curve can be absorbed. SOLUTION: The cover body for the connecting part such as a bellows or a fairing covering the connecting part of the railway rolling stock is constituted of an outside sheet, an inside sheet, and a high molecular synthetic sponge body provided between them. The inside sheet having a width larger than an extending space is bonded and sewed to the outside sheet across the whole length along the longitudinal direction at least on a part along the width direction so that the outside sheet is pulled from a back surface by tension along the oblique direction, and the outside sheet and the inside sheet are bonded to the high molecular synthetic sponge body.
