PURPOSE: An STB TV including a power sensor is provided to rapidly inform people of calamity situations through a TV calamity warning broadcast system. CONSTITUTION: An STB TV includes a power sensor. One of TV power lines passes through a coil. The STB TV includes a bridge diode and a comparator. In this construction, when the TV is turned on, the amount of power consumed by the TV is increased and thus a voltage sensed by the coil sensor is increased. When the TV is turned off, a voltage of the coil sensor is reduced. The increase/decrease in the voltage of the coil sensor is sensed and judged by a microcomputer included in the TV.
