PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a substrate for a display device, of which the manufacturing process is simplified and which has high reliability, a method for manufacturing the same and the display device equipped with the same in relation to the substrate for the display device, the method for manufacturing the same and the display device equipped with the same. SOLUTION: The display device has a gate bus line, an OC (overcoat) layer 36 formed on the gate bus line, a pixel electrode formed on the OC layer 36 for each of pixel regions, an Al group metal layer 12a with a first end face 62 and a high-melting metal layer 12b formed on the Al group metal layer 12a and having a second end face 63 more outside than the end face 62, is provided with a gate terminal lower part electrode 30 electrically connected to the gate bus line and a gate terminal upper part electrode 40 formed on the gate terminal lower part electrode 30 with the same material as that of the pixel electrode and electrically connected to the gate terminal lower part electrode 30 without being in contact with the end face 62 and is constructed so as to have a gate terminal 8 to electrically connect an external circuit with the gate bus line.
