CANCER RELATED GENES

摘要

Method for assaying potential therapeutic agents, such as antitumor agents, based on their modulation of the expression of specified genes, especially genes mapping to the long arm of chromosome 5, or their ability to inhibit or other wise counteract the activity of mutated or truncated polypeptides encoded by said genes, are disclosed, along with methods for diagnosing cancerous, or potentially cancerous, conditions as a result of the mutation and/or disruption of said genes. Also disclosed are the sequences of genes whose dis-regulation is correlated with the development of the cancerous state.
