The invention relates to a method for the production of a dental moulded par t wherein a mould (10) is formed with a cavity (11), the shape of which substantially corresponding to the shape of a model (2) of the moulded part and wherein a cast part (20) is formed by filling the cavity (11) of the mou ld with a hardenable material and is hardened. The model (2) is provided with a n offset (2a, 2b, 2c) which is taken into account when the mould (2) is formed . Once that cast part (20) has hardened, it is abrasively machined in order to form the dental moulded part.
