ANTENNA SYSTEM, RADIO-CONTROLLED WATCH, ITS CONTAINING BODY, SIGNAL RECEIVER, AND RECEIVER CONTAINING BODY

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an antenna that has a high gain and can be downsized and to provide a radio-controlled watch that has a sufficient reception sensitivity and can be downsized.

SOLUTION: The antenna 11 is provided with a core made of a magnetic material (magnetic core 3), wherein the cross section of one end 3a or both ends of the magnetic core 3 is increased. Or the antenna 11 is provided with another magnetic body 12 that is tangent to the magnetic core 3 and whose cross sectional area is greater than that of the magnetic core. Thus, the antenna 11 acquires much more magnetic flux of a magnetic field by a radio wave than that acquired with the case of the antenna 11 employing the magnetic core 3 only. When the magnetic flux passes through the magnetic core, the density of lines of magnetic force in a coil is increased and the reception sensitivity of the antenna is enhanced.
