摘要 <P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To sensitively and precisely detect the intake air temperature inside an intake air passage in a throttle body device for an engine. <P>SOLUTION: The throttle body device has an intake air temperature sensor 8 provided in a detecting hole 15 opened in the intake air passage 2 of a throttle body S comprising a temperature sensing element 12, and a sensor main body 14 holding the temperature sensing element 12 so as to cover it and installed in the throttle body S. In the throttle body device, while a shielding cylinder 17 inserted into the detecting hole 15 is installed in the throttle body S, the sensor main body 14 is provided with a needle-like detecting part 14a for holding the temperature sensing element 12, and a support part 14b integrally continued to a base end of the detecting part 14a and having a diameter larger than the detecting part 14a. The support part 14b is supported by the shielding cylinder 17. The detecting part 14a around which a heat insulating layer A1 is provided, is arranged in the shielding cylinder 17.
