<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To control the strength of musical sounds in accordance with the strength of picking, in an inexpensive electronic stringed instrument for picking operating elements instead of strings. <P>SOLUTION: A CPU in the body 1 of the electronic stringed instrument counts the time length of an ON state when a switch corresponding to the operating element 6 is changed from the ON state to an OFF state in accordance with the picking of the operator 6 prepared instead of a string, sets sound volume which is a velocity value in accordance with the time length, generates the ON event of a tone of the stringed instrument by the set sound volume, and outputs the ON event to a sound source. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2004,JPO&NCIPI |
