<p><P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a seat belt buckle device which engages with a multipurpose buckle sensor assembly detecting a locking condition of the buckle. <P>SOLUTION: The seat belt buckle device comprises a buckle assembly which latches a tongue of a seat belt, a hole sensor assembly which detects the locking condition of the buckle and generates one or more signals and top and bottom casings which store the buckle assembly and the multipurpose buckle sensor assembly. The buckle assembly has a frame wherein an engagement groove is formed at the front face and an engagement surface is formed at the right side of a sliding aperture and an ejector having a permanent magnet which engages with the hole sensor and a leg member at the lower side. A moving member including a permanent magnet and an engagement groove in which the leg member of the ejector is inserted is slidably disposed on the foundation plate of the hole sensor assembly. The foundation plate includes a position fixing member which is inserted in the engagement groove at the front face of the frame and a hook member which is hooked on the engagement surface of the frame. A concave groove is formed in a terminal block. A supporting block which supports a moving part of the buckle sensor not to swing and a projection which determines a position of the moving part of the buckle sensor are formed at the bottom surface of the bottom casing. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2004,JPO&NCIPI</p> |
