<p><P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To suppress unnecessary current consumption, temperature increase and driving part waste. <P>SOLUTION: This track ball is provided with a control means for controlling first and second driving means to perform force feedback operations(S1, S2) to return a ball to an initial position when a force to be manually added from an operator to the ball is removed. The control means detects that the ball has stopped in the middle when the ball is returned to the initial position (S3), and decides whether or not the stop time when it is detected that the ball has stopped in the middle exceeds a predetermined time (S4), and when the stop time exceeds the predetermined time, the control means stops the driving of the first and second driving means (S6). <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2004,JPO&NCIPI</p> |
