<p><P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a pipe cleaner easily movable through a bent pipe small in the radius of curvature to smoothly pass through the bent part of the pipe without clogging the pipe and becoming unmovable. <P>SOLUTION: The pipe cleaner is equipped with a main body of which the total length in a forward and rearward direction being a moving direction is less than the radius of the pipe, a leading end part having an almost hemispherical shape gradually tapered toward the front part of the main body, the removing part, which is provided to the outer periphery of the main body to be continued to the leading end part and moved through the pipe while brought into contact with the inner surface of the pipe to scrape off an adherend on the inner surface of the pipe and a stabilizing means comprising a stabilizing plate having a pressing surface receiving the pressure of a fluid behind the removing part to obtain a thrust and an acting surface arranged vertically toward the rear of the main body from the pressing surface to turn the main body toward the flow direction of the fluid. The total length of the main body and the stabilizing means is made smaller than the inner diameter of the pipe and the inclination of the main body is corrected so as to make the pressing surface right-angled to the moving direction by the pressure of the fluid when the main body is inclined. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2004,JPO&NCIPI</p> |
