<p><P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an optical fiber cable which is used to cross a paved road, having proper mechanical, electrical, handling and connecting characteristics. <P>SOLUTION: An optical fiber cable 10 consists of a plurality of optical fibers 12, a tube 14 which covers the periphery of the fibers 12 and is formed by a first polymeric material, a sheath 20 which covers the periphery of the tube 14 and is formed by a metal material and a jacket 22 which covers the periphery of the sheath 20 and is formed by a second polymeric material. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2004,JPO&NCIPI</p> |
