PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a secondary air supply device comprising a check valve capable of appropriately minimizing the generation of abnormal sound when a valve element rests on a valve seat. SOLUTION: The check valve 200 generally comprises the valve element 201, a narrowed portion 206 as a part of an inlet pipe 20a, and a spring 203 as an elastic member biasing the valve element 201 toward the narrowed portion 206. The valve element 201 with a tapered front part comprises a slider 201a of which entire outer circumference is slidable on the inner wall of the narrowed portion 206, and a base 201b integrally formed with the slider 201a and to which an end of the spring 203 is fixed. The narrowed portion 206 is formed by reducing the diameter of a part of the inlet pipe 20a so that the flow path area is narrowed.
