PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To display map data in a map display system by which an user can visually grasp sound data such as tone quality of an audio and voice input state without narrowing a map data display area in a screen. SOLUTION: The map display system is provided with a map data storing section 101 which stores map data, a map drawing data developing section 102 which develops map drawing data, a sound data inputting section 103 which inputs the sound data into the map drawing data developing section while holding sound data, a drawing section 104 which performs drawing treatment to the map drawing data produced in the map drawing data developing section to produce an image to be displayed in the screen and a display section 105 which displays the image produced by the drawing section 104 in a real screen.
