PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an image forming apparatus capable of embodying a large-quantity sheet feeding unit without using the body of any image forming apparatus provided proprietarily and a low-cost image formation system connectable with the large-quantity sheet feeding unit, establishing an on-line function as a whole, and allowing any desired combination of apparatus models. SOLUTION: A stencil printing device 1 as the image forming apparatus is equipped with the body 2 of printing device, the large-quantity sheet feeding unit 3 put in off-line connection with the device body 2, and a large-quantity sheet exhaust unit 4 put in off-line connection with the body 2, wherein the units 3 and 4 are put in on-line connection. This allows preventing misoperation about the sheet size originating from size exchange between the sheet supply side and the sheet exhaust side, and occurrence of a jam can be judged on the exhaust side by sensing the transporting speed (printing speed) of a printing sheet on the supply side, and it is possible to establish as the whole system a function equal to a consolidated type on-line control while the merit that the model of the device body 2 is not restricted is well secured.
