PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a color conversion operator generating device capable of reproducing appropriate colors even if an ambient environment changes. SOLUTION: According to a color conversion operator generating part 100 of this invention, a color conversion operator corrects a change in how a projected image on a projection plane, resulting from a change in an ambient environment is seen. First, a parameter calculating part 130 calculates a parameterαshowing a contrast effect of the projected image with the color of the projection plane on the basis of information as to how the projected image in a projection area on the projection plane is seen, and a conversion matrix compositing part 100a generates the color conversion operator for correcting the change in how the projected image on the projection plane is seen, resulting from the change in the ambient environment on the basis of the calculated parameterα.
