The device for recovery of a vehicle with a driven wheel (4) comprises a belt (14) whose ends are attachable respectively to a fixed point and to the driven wheel, in such a way that rotation of the wheel in a given direction causes the belt to be wrapped around the wheel running surface. Independent claims are also included for (a) a method for vehicle recover with use of the device; (b) a vehicle recovery belt; and (c) an application of the belt for vehicle recovery.
