The invention relates to transportation, in particular to transport objects using a magnet and air cushion. The inventive locomotion method for a transport object (TO) consists in levitating above an elevated road (AR) and in moving therealong by means of the interaction of a TO magnetic field with the elevated road magnetic field and alternating said motion with the TO air cushion motion by means of the proposition by a gas flow kinetic energy and/or a mechanical interaction with a gas. The inventive TO consist of a body provided with guiding elements for moving along the AR, electric means for forming an actuating magnetic field for moving along the AR, power transmission means, a system for controlling said power transmission, compressors for forming an air cushion and the contour guard thereof. Said TO is provided with energetically autonomous means for producing propulsive power, a system for modifying the direction of said propulsive power and take off and landing means for positioning on the AR. Said power transmission means is embodied in such a way that it is possible to carry out a power takeoff from energetically autonomous means for producing propulsive power for actuating said compressors. The system for a power transmission control is functionally connected to the take off and landing means for positioning the TO on the AR. Said invention makes it possible to increase the cruise speed and ensure the continuous locomotion of the TO on the alternation of land and water.
