CHASSIS, METHOD FOR MANUFACTURING THE SAME, AND LIQUID CRYSTAL DISPLAY HAVING THE SAME

PURPOSE: A chassis, a method for manufacturing the chassis, and an LCD(Liquid Crystal Display) having the chassis are provided to reduce manufacturing cost and maintain required strength of the chassis. CONSTITUTION: A chassis(800) is manufactured by separating chassis pieces(810,820) for covering top edges of an LCD panel(700) and sides connected with the top edges from a large metal plate and connecting at least two chassis pieces with each other. An LCD includes a back light assembly for generating light required for the display, an LCD panel for converting image light including information into an image, and the chassis for covering top edges of the LCD panel and sides connected with the top edges.
