<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a driving method for an electrophotographic printer, which reduces dirt and waste of printing papers and is free from print density variance. <P>SOLUTION: A voltage is applied to a charger 2 after a belt-like photoreceptor 1 starts rotation approximately simultaneously with the start of movement of a printing paper 20, and three developing rolls 6 are rotated and a developing bias voltage is applied when or after the belt-like photoreceptor 1 charged with a certain potential passes developing rolls 6. After the end of print, three developing rolls 6 are reversely rotated, and a developing material 5 is removed from on developing rolls 6 not to bring the belt-like photoreceptor 1 and the developing material 5 into contact with each other. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2004,JPO&NCIPI |
