<p><P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an apparatus for preparing water-granulated slag which crushes slag to round off sharp corners and decrease the amount of needle-like slag and simultaneously classifies slag. <P>SOLUTION: The preparation apparatus has a water-granulating conveyor 2 for solidifying and granulating slag taken out of a melting furnace 1 and a milling apparatus 6 which is arranged after the conveyor 2, performs the adjustment of particle size distribution and the reduction of needle-like slag by bringing slag into contact with each other, and has a function of classifying slag. For example, the milling apparatus 6 is a vibratable horizontal tubular container 8 which has a slag charge port 81 at its one end and a slag discharge port 82 at the other end.
