PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a display device of which the supporting structure excellent in operability and beauty is realized. SOLUTION: A slide bracket 300 is freely ascendable and descendable provided on a column 210 of a stand part 200 and a display panel part 100 is coupled with the slide bracket 300 by a hinge part 310. Rack members 230A, 230B are provided to the column 210, into which gears 340A, 340B provided in the slide bracket 300 engage. A friction ring 390 for imparting frictional force to rotating operations of the gears 340A, 340B is provided so that the slide bracket 300 stays at optional height of the column 210. A spiral spring 370 is incorporated between the gears 340A, 340B and the slide bracket 300 and the spiral spring 370 is stored in a drum 360. The spiral spring 370 works as energizing force of the slide bracket 300 in the rising direction through energization of the gears 340A, 340B in the rotating direction. COPYRIGHT: (C)2004,JPO&NCIPI
