PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an encoder assembly achieving both improvement of measuring accuracy and production cost reduction. SOLUTION: This encoder assembly comprises a motor, a timing disk anchored to a motor shaft, a signal source for generating optical signal, and a beam mask for forming optical signal.
