PURPOSE: A system for processing authentication of a wireless communication terminal user through iris recognition, and a method thereof are provided to accurately authenticate a user by using an immutable iris image and user information transmitted from a digital camera mounted at a wireless communication terminal. CONSTITUTION: A storing unit(208) stores user information and iris pattern code information of a user corresponding to the user information. If receiving the user information and iris image information from a wireless terminal of the user through a network, a user information processor(203) compares the received user information with the user information stored in the storing unit(208). In the case that user information equal to the received user information exists, an iris pattern code generator(205) extracts patterns for characteristic points, and generates a code for each extracted iris pattern. An authentication processor(211) compares the iris pattern code data of the corresponding user with the generated iris pattern code of the user to authenticate the user.
