PURPOSE: A method for driving a plasma display panel is provided to uniformly control the discharge of the cell by modulating the amount of the sidewall charges in the address period. CONSTITUTION: A method for driving a plasma display panel includes the steps of: applying a voltage of a first level to a sustain electrode(X) during a first period; and applying the voltage having a second level being higher than the first level to the sustain electrode(X) during the second period. In the device, the scan electrode(Yn), the sustain electrode(X) and an address electrode(Am) are formed on the first substrate, and address electrode is formed on the second substrate with crossing the sustain electrode and paralleling with them. |
