<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a developing device for performing satisfactory image formation by realizing miniaturization of the developing device and preventing image failure such as toner scattering and image fogging by sufficiently stirring and feeding developer and to provide an image forming apparatus having the same, with respect to a two-component developing device. <P>SOLUTION: In the developing device having a development chamber with a developer carrier which carries the developer containing toner and a carrier and feeds it to an image carrier, a screw member 5a on the rotating shaft 5b of which fins 5d are provided, stirs and feeds the developer and a stirring chamber with an acceptance port 8 which accepts the supply toner and constitutes a circulation path of the development chamber and the developer, more fins 5d are provided in a second area C after a position distant from the acceptance port 8 by a predetermined distance on the downstream side in the developer feeding direction than in a first area B in the vicinity of the acceptance port 8. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2004,JPO&NCIPI |
