PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a steering device capable of rigidly maintaining a fixing condition of a steering column obtained by fastening a tilt lever, and performing tilt adjustment with telescopic adjustment at a good operating feeling. SOLUTION: A lock lever 9 swinging on one side of a tilt lever 8 with a tilt bolt 7 as a pivot is energized by a tension spring 91 installed between the lock lever and the tilt lever 8, and engaged with a lock part 16 installed at one part of a steering column 1, so as to maintain a fixing condition of the steering column 1 obtained by fastening the tilt lever 8. A loosening operation of the tilt lever 8 is directed for shortening the tension spring 91.
