PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide cooling for a drive unit for an electric motor while preventing a drop in cooling air quantity and occurrence of whizzing sound. SOLUTION: A shroud 17 is fixed to a radiator 13. An electric motor 21 is fixed to the shroud 17. A fan blade 23 is mounted on one end side of the electric motor 21. A drive unit 22 is mounted on the other end side of the electric motor 21. The electric motor 21 is driven by energization control from the drive unit 22 so that fan blade 23 is rotary-driven. By rotation of the fan blade 23, air blowing area A<SB>2</SB>in which cooling air flows around the blade 25 is formed. A reverse air flow area A<SB>3</SB>in which reverse air opposite in the direction to the cooling air flows around the boss part 24 is formed. The drive unit 22 is arranged in the reverse air flow area A<SB>3</SB>, thereby being cooled by the reverse air flow without hindering the flow of cooling air. COPYRIGHT: (C)2004,JPO&NCIPI
