PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To make a main body case light in weight, to prevent the reverse rotation of a transverse cleaning brush, to prevent the rotation stoppage of the transverse cleaning brush and scattering of dust or the like during movement, to improve turning performance and straight traveling performance, to improve the easiness of operation and to improve work efficiency. SOLUTION: For a manual cleaner, a main body case 1 having pairs of right and left traveling wheels 2 and traveling wheels 3 is provided with a transverse cleaning brush 6 to be rotated by the rotation of the traveling wheels 3, and a dust collecting box 22 for collecting the dust or the like swept by the transverse cleaning brush 6 is provided on the front side of the transverse cleaning brush 6. The main body case 1 is formed in an integrated box shape of which the lower surface is opened, an opening part 24 is formed at the main body case 1 on the front side of the transverse cleaning brush 6, and the dust collecting box 22 is provided on the opening part 24 so as to be freely attachable and detachable from the above.
