PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a highly convenient communication terminal which effectively utilizes the merit of voice communications via a line switched network such as a telephone network and the merit of VoIP communications via a packet network. SOLUTION: Voice signals are exchanged with an opposite side device connected via the line switched network and on the other hand, IP packets are exchanged with an opposite side device connected via the packet network such as the Internet.
