Process for recharging spent batteries comprises converting crushed batteries using hydrochloric acid into a manganese-zinc-iron solution, precipitating manganese-zinc-iron hydroxides and manganese-zinc-iron carbonates produced using ammonium bicarbonate and ammonia water, heating the manganese-zinc-iron concentrate produced after filtering, and reacting with Fe2O3 to form ferrite powder. The solution removed from the ferrite powder is further evaporated until crystal-like ammonium chloride is formed. The electrolyte contained in the battery is rinsed with hydrochloric acid after crushing and before binding the battery and is mixed with the battery.
