PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a writing head producing a high resolution image and capable of forming a stabilized electrostatic latent image on an image carrier by eliminating the problem of current crosstalk. SOLUTION: In a writing head 3 forming an electrostatic latent image on an image carrier by a writing electrode 3b formed on a film-like substrate 3a, the film-like substrate 3 consists of a first substrate 3a1 and a second substrate 3a2. After a protruding electrode section 3b and a wiring section 3c are formed on the first substrate, a driver section D is mounted on the wiring section at a predetermined position. On the other hand, the second substrate 3a2 mounting a capacitor section C is pasted to the first substrate 3a1. Subsequently, the surface between the protruding writing electrode section 3b and the driver section is coated with photoresist 3e and only the protruding writing electrode section 3b is exposed to light and the photoresist is removed from the protruding writing electrode section 3b by etching thus exposing the protruding writing electrode section.
