<p><P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an oxygen-absorbing resin composition using a resin component as a body to be oxidized. <P>SOLUTION: The oxygen-absorbing resin composition is obtained by kneading a resin composition comprising a saturated thermoplastic resin exemplified by a hydrogenated styrene-butadiene rubber, and a transition metal catalyst in the presence of oxygen, and contains an oxygen-containing organic free radical.
