<p><P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a wall material which is equipped with flame retardancy, and for which a nail and a wood screw can be used. <P>SOLUTION: In this wall material 1, finely chopped wood and a powder mainly composed of gypsum are hardened as a plate-shaped body in a desired shape by means of a polyvinyl acetate emulsion type adhesive. The finely chopped wood is obtained by crushing a waste material, and the powder mainly composed of gypsum is obtained by crushing a used gypsum board or a used plaster board. In the plate-shaped body which is a quadrangle with a prescribed thickness and which has hollow parts 7 and 8, engaging parts 11 and 12, which are engaged with each other so as to form a continuous wall surface by using the plate-shaped bodies, are provided at an edge. Paper 13 or 14 is stuck on at least either of surfaces of plate parts 2 and 3. In a manufacturing method, the powder mainly composed of gypsum, the polyvinyl acetate resin emulsion type adhesive, and water are mixed and agitated, so as to be turned into mud-like matter; a prescribed wall material mold is filled with the mud-like matter while being vibrated; and the mud-like matter is deaerated and pressurized after filling, and dried by being taken out from the mold after solidification. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2004,JPO&NCIPI</p> |
