<p><P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a resin composition, resin sheet and material for a substrate, excellent in dynamic physical properties, dimensional stability, heat resistance, transparency, low water absorption, flame retardant property, etc., especially excellent in high temperature physical properties. <P>SOLUTION: This resin composition having a high transparency is provided by containing 100 pts. wt. thermosetting resin and/or photo-curable resin and 1-100 pts. wt. phyllosilicate having≤20 % ratio of >2μm stratified silicate salt and 500μm maximum length in the contained phyllosilicate, and having both small mean linear expansion coefficient (α1) at or below the glass transition temperature of the resin composition and mean linear expansion coefficient (α2) at or above the glass transition temperature of the resin composition.
