PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an optically active compound having high optical purity obtained by a reaction using an asymmetrical metal complex as a catalyst. SOLUTION: The optically active compound having high optical purity can be obtained in a high yield by an asymmetric reaction using, as a catalyst, a transition metal complex having a nitrogen-containing optically active compound as an asymmetric ligand.
