COATED PAPER FOR GRAVURE PRINTING

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a coated paper for printing that has excellent face quality on the coated paper by controlling the occurrence of dotting miss in the gravure printability and particularly inhibiting the outbreak of the coating drawbacks, e.g., streaking in the high-speed blade coating. SOLUTION: This coated paper for gravure printing is produced by coating a base paper sheet mainly made of pulp on its one surface or both of them with a coating composition comprising a pigment and an adhesive as main components, includes 5-40 pts.mass of needle pigments and 10-40 pts.mass of minute particles of kaoline having an average particle size of≤2μm as pigment components by using a blade coater equipped with a ceramic blade.
