PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a coating material in which powder can be kept in a high disperse state without causing aggregation and powder is favorably moved to the surface layer of coating film together with water content in the coating material after applying the coating material and a substance having optical activity and contained in powder favorably removes toxic chemical substances, etc. and prevents stain in a coating material-preparing process. SOLUTION: The coating material is obtained by mixing powder containing a substance having optical activity with a binder, a thickener, a dispersant, water, etc., in a prescribed ratio.
