A browser program for a content display device such as a TV device and a DVD player. This browser program can display the same number of windows arranged corresponding at least to a part of a plurality of buttons provided in a controller of the content display device, so that the windows are superimposed on a display region, and can display at least a part of an interpreted result of the markup language document in each window. When a button other than the button corresponding to the window displayed on the currently uppermost layer is activated, the window corresponding to this button is displayed on the uppermost layer.
