PROCESS FOR MANUFACTURE OF AN ALLYL ETHER

A process for production of an allyl and/or methallyl ether of a tri or polyhydric alcohol is disclosed. Said process comprises (i) subjecting at least one cyclic formal of a tri or polyhydric alcohol to allylation, (ii) subjecting obtained allyl and/or methallyl ether of said cyclic formal to reaction with at least one alcohol and optionally an intermediate and/or a final purification step. In further aspects the present invention refers to an allyl and/or methallyl ether yielded in said process.
