PURPOSE: A device for fixing a suction valve of a reciprocating compressor is provided to improve a compression rate by regularly maintaining openness of a suction valve by a magnet inserted into a piston. CONSTITUTION: A reciprocating motor includes stators fixed at frames, and a mover reciprocating in a straight line between the stators. A piston(142) reciprocates inside a cylinder by receiving driving power of the reciprocating motor, having a suction passage(142a) where gas flows inside. A plurality of magnets(M) are inserted into a front end of the piston. A suction valve(143) is mounted at the front end of the piston for opening and shutting the suction passage, and is formed of a fixed part(143a) fixed by the magnets and an opening and shutting part(143b) opening and shutting the suction passage. Attached planes(146) are attached to the magnets, having separation preventing grooves passing through circumferences contacting with the magnets not to rotate the suction valve on its own axis when the piston reciprocates.
