<p><P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an optical material substituting a glass, having a low thermal expansion coefficient, exhibiting a high light transmittance, having high reliability, and suitably usable for a substrate (especially of an active matrix type) for a display element such as a liquid crystal display element and an organic EL element, a substrate for a color filter, a substrate for a touch panel, a substrate for a solar battery or the like. <P>SOLUTION: The transparent compounded composition comprises (a) a transparent resin and (b) a glass filler in which the content of an alkali metal is≤1%. The refraction index of the glass filler (b) is preferably 1.45-1.55. A composition of 50-60% SiO<SB>2</SB>, 10-18% Al<SB>2</SB>O<SB>3</SB>, 11.0-25.0% B<SB>2</SB>O<SB>3</SB>, 1.0-6.0% MgO, 1.0-10.0 CaO, 0.5-5% TiO<SB>2</SB>and 0-1% (LiO<SB>2</SB>+Na<SB>2</SB>O+K<SB>2</SB>O) is cited as a preferable example. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2004,JPO&NCIPI</p> |
