PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a video recorder coping with reserving video recordings, which can prevent wasteful video recordings. SOLUTION: The video recorder, capable of reserving video recording, is provided with an input means (42) for inputting an image/sound signal, video-recording means (35 and 2001) for video-recording the image/sound signal, a reservation receiving means (47) for receiving the input of video-recording reservation information, a first video-recording control means (30) for designating the video recording of a target image/sound signal, based on the video-recording reservation information, and a second video-recording control means (30) for stopping the video-recording designated by the first video-recording control means, when the target image/sound signal requested by the video-recording reservation information cannot be obtained.
