PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To easily perform construction work or demolition of structures such as temporary facilities, timbering, work stage, warehouse, garage, display platform or the like by offering lightweight box trusses which have less places requiring special works compared to the conventional folding type space framework. SOLUTION: This box truss system comprises four main pipes which are arranged in parallel to each other, strut members welded to two main pipes at the opposite plane sides and diagonal members in both directions; diagonal members in one direction jointed with pins and bolts to two main pipes in a rotatable manner at the side perpendicular to the plane; a diagonal member in one direction is so rotated as to run along the main pipe at the bolt connections and stored, transported and temporarily placed in a folded state; on the job site, two main pipes are connected with pins and bolts at the plane side where the diagonal members are connected with pins and bolts in one direction, and the strut member and diagonal member in other direction are fixed together, and temporary facilities or the like are constructed by building up the columns and beams by using lightweight box trusses of various dimensions formed by fixing the pin and bolt connections between the diagonal members and the main pipes in one direction.
