PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To keep the static elimination effect for a long time. SOLUTION: This sheet discharge device 151 is provided with a static eliminating needle 154 disposed on the downstream side of a pair of oscillating rollers 127 for discharging the sheet along the sheet discharge direction and directing from the upstream side toward the downstream side in the sheet discharge direction. In this sheet discharge device 151, since the static eliminating needle 154 is pointed from the upstream side toward the downstream side in the sheet discharge direction, the opposite area to the sheet is larger than before so that static electricity of the sheet can be surely removed. Especially, even in a color sheet in which a color image to which static electricity is applied much more than a monochromatic sheet is formed, static electricity of the color sheet can be surely removed.
