PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a door opening and closing device for an elevator in which a low-speed door, a middle-speed door, and a high-speed door are opened and closed in a proportion of the moving amount as 1:2:3, capable of reducing the number of hanger rails and lessening the installation space. SOLUTION: The low-speed door 1, the middle-speed door 2, and the high-speed door 3 are opened and closed in a proportion of the moving amount as 1:2:3, and are furnished at their tops with a low-speed hanger 11, a middle-speed hanger 21, and a high-speed hanger 31, respectively, and these hangers are fitted with a pair of low-speed hanging rollers 13a and 13b, middle-speed hanging rollers 23a and 23b, and high-speed hanging rollers 33a and 33b, wherein one hanger rail 4 is installed over the gateway where the hanging rollers are engaged, and the middle-speed rollers are located between the low-speed rollers while the high-speed rollers are located between the middle-speed rollers.
