PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a front and rear reversal device capable of securely reversing sheets according to the width thereof. SOLUTION: This front and rear reversal device 1 comprises a hitting roller 50 which moves forward sheets R in a reverse passage S at a feed rate according to the width thereof in the forward movement of the sheets R and can be rotated according to the sheets R of various widths and various materials. The hitting roller 50 is disposed in the reverse passage S on the downstream side of the sheets R in delivering the sheets, and formed to hit, in delivering, the end part of the sheets R in the state of being held by reverse rollers 21 and 22. By this, when the end part of the sheets R is hit by the hitting roller 50, the end part of the sheets R is moved to the wall surface of a guide plate in the reverse passage S to make the sheets hard to cause jamming or bending in the reverse passage S.
