PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a paper sheet feeding amount sensing and correcting method capable of correcting the correction value of the roller rotating angle automatically during the printing operation without printing a check pattern etc. for correcting the paper feed. SOLUTION: The paper feeding amount sensing and correcting method includes rollers to transport each sheet of paper and a sheet sensor installed on a sheet transporting path and capable of sensing the leading edge and the trailing edge of the sheet, whereby the roller rotating angle from the leading edge to the trailing edge is measured and compared with the reference rotating angle measured previously, to serve for sensing a change in deviation of the actual sheet feeding amount from the roller rotating angle, and thereby the correction value of the roller rotating angle is corrected.
